Our monthly newsletter, <strong>\u201c<em>Fit for Duty\u201d<\/em><\/strong> is one of the initiatives we\u2019re offering to you to help connect to current health topics specific to firefighters, get to know more about our division and learn more about your fellow firefighters in a positive light. Since <strong>\u201c<em>Fit for Duty\u201d<\/em><\/strong> &nbsp;is for <strong>YOU<\/strong>, we want to hear from you and share your stories. You can email Kim Wiesmann at <a href=\"mailto:kim.wiesmann@indy.gov\">kim.wiesmann@indy.gov<\/a> with your ideas. Some examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A healthy recipe that you make on shift<\/li><li>A station fitness challenge<\/li><li>If you or a fellow firefighter ran a race or participated in a competitive sporting event<\/li><li>If you or a fellow firefighter overcame cancer or other difficult mental or physical illness and would like to share about your journey<\/li><li>If you or a fellow firefighter contributed to making an impact in the community<\/li><li>If you or a fellow firefighter is leading a wellness\/fitness initiative at your station<\/li><li>A lesson learned on the fireground that will help keep firefighters safe<\/li><li>Someone who displayed courageous leadership during a difficult situation<\/li><li>A historical story that highlights something good about IFD<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u201cFit for Duty\u201d <\/em><\/strong>will be sent out monthly.
