All Personnel,
Beginning November 4th through November 20th, the IFD will take formal photos of all sworn and civilian members. Per Chief Malone, participation in the photo process is mandatory, and all IFD personnel are required to get their photo taken – even if you are slated to retire. The apparatus schedule has been finalized by Shift/Admin and is attached. It is also entered onto the Training Calendar. Please review it now to ensure you are aware of your scheduled day and time and mark it on your calendar. Officers and Division Chiefs, it is your responsibility to ensure all members of your crew or professional staff are aware of the available dates and get their photo taken.
All photos will be taken at IFD Headquarters in the Greeson Room downstairs. Please direct all scheduling questions to Battalion Chief Natalie Morgan at natalie.morgan2@indy.gov.
The Uniform for the photos is the Class A blouse with tie. One photo will be taken with the cap and one without the cap. The photos will be headshots only; therefore, you will only need the top half of your Class A.
Please note that all Class A blouses must be the IFD double-breasted jacket. Please refer to IFD G.O. 1.18 & G.O. 1.28 for Uniform and Grooming Standards. Uniform standards will be enforced, and appropriate measures will be taken for non-compliance.
If you need a Class A jacket or other uniform item, please make sure to contact MES or Star Uniform now and get it taken care of.

NOTE: There will NOT be any spare uniforms or parts available. Make sure you have your complete blouse, shirt, tie, cap, and badge with you and are completely dressed and ready to go when you arrive. We are trying to move a large volume of people through in a short amount of time and really need everyone’s full cooperation.
Those of you who get promoted this year will have the opportunity to get a photo taken with your new rank before the book goes to print.
Both your photos and the 2023-2026 yearbook will be available for order at the time your photo is taken, or you can order the book now through this link or the attached flyer. The more books ordered, the more pages we get in the book.

This is not a history book but a typical yearbook that covers the last 4 years. The books will be completed mid-summer of 2027 and shipped to us at HQ, so no need to pay to have them shipped to your home – unless you really want to.
